I was given a Talk & Soothe Digital Video Monitor by The First Years to review and put it to the test today.
My newest son has his crib in our room so we don’t need a video monitor at night but this little sugar takes lots of naps in his crib and we spend our time downstairs during the day so having a monitor for day time is a must. My mom asked me the other day if Summit was crying upstairs, could I hear him. The answer is yes and no because sometimes I can and sometimes I cannot if the kids are being to loud. If he is napping I normally run up and down the stairs a ton, to check on him because just because he is isn’t crying, doesn’t mean there couldn’t be something else wrong. I keep getting worried one of my kids will all of the sudden sneak off for a minute and try to get Summit out of his bed or something crazy! Being able to have a monitor and take wherever I am in the house is so great so I can keep an eye on my little one while he naps and also be downstairs with my other kids.
The Talk and Soothe Digital Video Monitor has been a life saver! It took me 5 minutes to put it together, and my little one was sleeping upstairs so I put the monitor so I could see him and took the hand held reciever downstairs with me. I would see him clearly even though the lights were off and continuted to cook supper. He started to stir then eventually started crying. I was able to talk to him for a few minutes through the reciever and he actually stayed in his crib a little longer without crying so I could finish supper! Amazing!

This is me looking at my little angel and as you can see he is not sleeping anymore! We also love to have people over to our house and it gets so loud and extremely hard to hear Summit when he wakes up but this monitor is the perfect solution. Even if I cannot hear the monitor, if the red and green lights go off at the top of the monitor like in this picture, I know he is making noise and need to go check on him.
