This is my life…following around a 1 year old every step he takes. If I look away for a second, this little nugget can get into trouble. So these sweet hugs mean a whole lot to me becauseI know he’s safe in my arms.
And as a mom, one of the most important things is taking care of myself. So that is why I nominate Celebrate Recovery at Red Rocks Church for the Huggies #UltraHug initiative.
It’s a ministry my husband and I are both a part of. And from the name, you might think it’s for people who struggle with drugs and alcohol, but it’s for people who struggle with ANYTHING! I struggle with just being a mom. I worry about my kids and that gives me anxiety! I also have a super short patience level. Those things are always things I can improve in. If you are a perfect person, then Celebrate Recovery is not for you. Even though I have yet to meet a perfect person. So everyone qualifies!
One day we hope to offer childcare at our Celebrate Recovery Friday night meetings. And getting this grant from Huggies would give this ministry an amazing start!
You can nominate something you are passionate about in your community too!
