The big game is coming up soon so I whipped up crowd pleasing braided bacon bread with Rhodes dinner rolls. This recipe is so easy and it’s only 3 ingredients. This is one of my favorite recipes because the braided bread really looks fantastic and the bacon and cheese stuffed in the middle makes it tastes as good as it looks.
If your looking for an easy recipe to whip on for the Big game, look no further. All you need is a package of Rhodes dinner rolls, a package of cheese and a package of bacon.
First get out an entire Rhodes dinner roll bag from the freezer and let thaw for an hour. Once it’s not completly frozen, put into a bowl and cover with a towel.
Knead the bread into one piece of dough and let rise until doubled in size.
Split the dough into one large piece and one smaller piece. The get the smaller piece and break into 3 smaller pieces and roll out into 3 long ropes.
Pinch the ends together then braid into a long braid. To the same thing with the other piece of dough and let rise for about 30 minutes.
Place the smaller braid on top of the larger braid and cook at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until the whole top of the bread is brown.
Let the bread cool for a couple of minutes then cut the bread apart in the middle and stuff with cooked bacon and cheese.
Optional: You can brush the top with melted butter or my favorite oil and cheese spread. Mix 1/4 cup olive oil, a pinch of salt, 1 t of Italian seasoning and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. (I ran out of parmesan cheese so I used colby jack)
This bread is so easy to use and the whole crowd will think you spend hours in the kitchen making it!
