The two puppies we have are amazing! They light up our household and have brought so much joy to our house. This is a picture of my ultimate #squadgoal. These 3 hooligan dogs (the extra one is my mom’s poodle) running through the snow at my house. They are having so much fun they didn’t even realize how cold it was outside.
And boy are they michevious but what puppies aren’t? They tore a whole in my ottoman so I sat it outside to get ride of it and I come back to see them having a field day with it.
Even if they tear up my furniture, if you are new to my blog, you can read about what happened to our last dog here. Long story short, my 2nd oldest was severely allergic to our dog and we had to give him away which was awful. Our new puppies are hypoallergenic and my allergic son is thriving with them which no problems.
It’s time to potty train these puppies and we were trying to figure out the best way to do that as well as what doggy door we should. We settled on an automatic door since we live in extreme temperatures and if we are gone during the day, we needed the dogs to be able to let themselves in and out of the house.
You have to check out the PetSafe automatic doggy door. We received the door and conversion kit since we wanted to put it in our wall. My husband installed it rather quickly and it took no time to teach the dogs to come in and out. It has different settings so you can put it to where it’s locked, or where they can push the door open or where they can enter it automatically. It comes with radio-frequency technology, the SmartDoor reads the unique signal of a SmartKey™ worn on your pet’s collar and triggers the battery power-driven flap to unlock. When the SmartDoor no longer senses your pet’s SmartKey, the flap automatically locks back into place. How awesome is that?!
I love to see those paws coming through this door!
And get this, the door is so easy to program, even my 9 and 7-year-old can program it with ease. We went for the large size since we have a standard poodle and golden doodle which will be really large dogs and this door is big enough for when they grow even bigger than they are now.
