Well my 24 day challenge ends tomorrow. I am so excited with the results so far and this week I weighed in a 152. So this week I lost 4 pounds!
I haven’t seen the 140’s in years!!
I no longer wear XL clothes or skivvies! My maternity jeans are loose! Loose I tell you!
I tried on a pair of pre pregnancy jeans and something really weird happened…. THEY FIT!
Before this diet I was getting really overwhelmed with the kids. I don’t think it’s uncommon with 4 kids but since I started this diet I seem to have more patience with them. I am not sure if it’s because I am feeling better about myself or having a clearer head eating so clean but either way I will take it.
My diet actually ends tomorrow. I might post some before and after pictures, we will see! I have some real gems but still want to loose a bit more weight before I let you see the first pictures I took.
If your trying to lose weight, keep going! I found after the 1st week it got so much easier. I mean I would still rather be munching on cinnamon rolls and not carrots but it got to where I wasn’t even tempted by cheat foods because I was seeing so many results.
My newest obsession is wearing lipstick. Before starting this weight loss situation I wear yoga pants everyday and rarely wore makeup. Now I find myself wanting to get dressed up more, like not in yoga pants, and even wear lipstick a time or too.
Week #2 weight in! Last week I weighed 159.4 and this week, 156.1! I was shooting for 155, but I want to lose weight the healthy way and losing 5 pounds a week isn’t bad but not always attainable. I have to make sure I am eating enough and not starving myself. I have to think about it this way, it took me 9 months to put on all this weight and it sure isn’t all going to come off in 24 days. However my goal was to loose 10 pounds and I am only 2 pounds away.
Weigh 152 or loose 4 pounds.
I am still doing the Advocare 24 day challenge. I cannot stand diets that say “I eat a box of cookies a day, never work out and still lose weight!” That is ridiculous. I am not exercising but I am very active. With 4 kids and some still not sleeping through the night, it’s all I can do to stay awake all day. I haven’t been working out but I am active.
As a former personal trainer, what you eat is more than half the battle of loosing weight! I know at some point I need to work out to lose all the weight plus get toned but at this point eating right is what is working.
Don’t believe I used to be a personal trainer??! Look at this throwback picture from 2002. I really did have a 6 pack!
Here is a picture right after I had Summit, chubby-ness and all! The 6 pack is long gone but I am slowly on the road to get it back!
I love a good weight-loss story…except when I am the subject and I have to cut out sugar! My son is 7 months old and I finally decided enough is enough and it’s REALLY time to get this baby weight off.
During my last pregnancy I put on
some a lot of weight so of course getting it off has been tough. Above is the picture of my weight after having the baby. I started at 174 then got stuck at 165 for the past 7 months.
I am not one of those mom’s whose weight falls off while breastfeeding or can fit in my pre-pregnancy jeans. Let’s be honest, I am still wearing my maternity jeans. I wear mostly black because it’s slimming right? Well black shirts and yoga pants. But it’s time for a change and I wanted to involved all of you! I want to share my victories, and defeats and let you know how my journey goes.
I decided to try out the Advocare 24 day challenge because I needed a plan. I hear about Advocare at least once a day from different people so I decided to sign up. This is NOT a review this is just what I am trying to loose weight and I paid for it!
This is how I feel about Advocare. You will not loose weight unless you decide you have had enough. No diet or plan will work unless you are committed. What I like about Advocare is you eat clean and have a plan. I started eating healthy a few days before I started the challenge and have been on the challenge for 5 days and the have lost 5 pounds! (I wrote this on sunday so it’s been a few days since then 😉
This is a 24 day challenge of eating their meal plan and taking their supplements. You eat 6 small meals a day so I normally dont get hungry.
I have lots of energy, am loosing weight and eating clean. It is safe for breastfeeding mommas like myself and this is the only cleanse I have ever found that I am do while nursing.
My husband graduates on May 9th and my goal is to lose 10 pounds but I might just surpass it!
Weigh 155 or loose 5 pounds.
I will let you know how it goes!
Btw I signed up for Advocare and I know lots of people do it as a business as well as take their products. I signed up to get a discount and use their products. I would be happy to help any of you if you are interested in their products to give you more info and you can follow along and see if it works for me!

This last baby had me pushing 200 pounds and I have weighed around 130-120 most of my adult life. PHEW that is hard to admit! You never ask a girl how much they weigh but during my journey I am committed to being 100% transparent and tell you all the details good and bad.
I started a weight loss program last week, which I will blog about tomorrow, and I am going to share the tips and tricks that help me on my weightless journey.
The thing with me is I have a massive sweet tooth. I am on a gluten free, dairy free diet and in order to succeed I have to treat myself every now and then but I found a 10 calorie sweet treat that curbs my sweet tooth.
Nothing says treat like a glass of any of the Four DPSG TEN beverages or sodas and I picked up all 4 at my local Walmart. Does anyone else pour their soda in a fancy glass like me? It makes me feel like I am REALLY getting a treat and let’s face it you barely ever use the china you got for your wedding.
Chasing around 4 kids all day will wear you out so at night I like to take a warm bubble bath along with my glass of 10 sweet sweet calorie 7 up TEN, A&W TEN, Sunkist TEN, or Canadian Dry TEN.
If you want to pick some up for yourself, go here to their website and score a coupon! I know all pricing is different but in my Walmart the TEN products were cheaper than the regular which is extra sweet!
I get 500 calories a day to eat whatever I would like so drinking a glass of any of the 4 DPSG soda’s barely tips my toe into my allowance!
I have to tell you I am a root beer kind of gal and the A&W TEN hits that sweet spot. It has so much flavor and calms my sweet tooth when I feel like I want to cheat on my diet. I feel like I am slurging when I drink my daily glass of A&W TEN but I am far from it!
To make any diet successful you have to have a plan and I am on a diet that is well laid out and I work my glass of any of the Four DPSG TEN beverages or sodas into my daily meal plan.
I am down 5 pounds in 1 week and feel great and not deprived at all since I get my daily glass of any of the TEN products.
I also found these super cute mini bottles. They fit right on my diaper bag so I can grab one on the go.!
Want to see what’s inside my diaper bag….take a look!
1. Every must in diaper bag essentials is a big bag because a lot is going to go in it!
2. Diapers and wipes
3. Sunkist TEN or any of the DPSG TEN products because a girl has to bring something for yourself!
4. toy for the baby
5. EOS lipbalm
6. Extra cloths and possible a superman cape because you never know when you will need your little one to be a superhero!
7. Aden and Anias blanket…softnest blanket ever!
8. A trusty nursing cover

I am starting a new series on my blog about working off the post pregnancy weight I packed on my last pregnancy. We are not having any more kids so it’s time to get back to the way we were…that’s right 6 pack and all. I used to be skinny but having 5 pregnancies, and 4 babies in under 6 years can really take a toll on a person…well it was either that or all the twix bars I decided to eat 😉
Here’s the deal: Yes I took before pictures..no you cannot see them…YET. They are too embarrassing but I promise when the weight comes off, I will show them
The number’s aren’t important: Yes I want to loose weight but I don’t want you to feel bad your weight. I personally want to just fit in my old clothes again and be healthy. I thnk you can be healthy and feel great at lots of sizes, this is just my journey. It doesn’t matter what the scale says, I just want to feel good about myself but the number’s I throw out will give you a good sense of whether or not I am loosing weight or eating twix again.
What about you: I want you to share your stories with me! I would love any comments under these weight loss posts on what your story is, if your trying to loose weight and how it’s going!
So here is the nitty gritty: I gained almost 60 pounds with this last baby. I weigh 168 right now and have lost 32 pounds since Summit was born but I have a long way to go. I would love to get back down to 14o but 130 would be amazing!
The first picture is the day I gave birth…I will never admit to my husband what I weighed at the end, haha! The second picture is the day I got married…all 125 pounds of me.
I plan to post recipes, workout ideas and so much more!
Until next week!
