Do you ever have a hard time finding good snacks? This week I got to try out Bare Snacks and its delicious line of baked All Natural Crunchy Apple Chips and All Natural Crunchy Coconut Chips. I grabbed a bag and brought it into the car with me today. As I was in the car at a stoplight, I glanced real quick at the ingredients in the apple chips because they were so darn good and well, take a look for yourself…
Just apples??! And they taste THAT good??! Seriously I took down a whole bag by myself.
Bare Snacks is the creators of delicious Snacks Gone Simple. Crafted using only real, whole-food ingredients, Bare Snacks helps people enjoy truly good-for-you snacking any time. All Bare Snacks are created through a special oven baking process that creates a distinct crunch, and enhances the delicious natural coconut and apple flavors in every bite.
Also Bare Snacks are gluten free, Non-GMO Project Verified, vegan (except Show me the Honey Crunchy Coconut Chips), and are free of refined sugar, preservatives, cholesterol and trans fats. Now that’s what I am talking about! A snack I won’t feel guilty about eating!
I was asked to come up with a recipe with 5 ingredients or less and I decided on 2 recipes, one sweet and once savory! I wouldn’t normally think of using these chips in a savory dish so that is why I had to come up with one!
I made coconut protein bombs and savory apple chicken wraps.
First is the coconut protein bombs. These are one of my favorite go to snacks and the addition of the coconut chocolate chips just made them my favorite.
This is what it should look like.
Add all ingredients into the bowl and mix together then form into balls.
Place in the fridge. This helps them stay in ball form but you can eat them anytime. Two went missing before these even made it to the fridge.
Next is the Savory Apple Chicken Wraps:
Once the all the chicken is wrapped, top with sauce and cheese.
Then top with crushed apples chips. This gives it a nice crunch.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until heated through!
*I was sent these samples free of charge but all opinions are my own.
I know lots of my friends say they want to eat organic foods but they are just to expensive but with the help of Wild Oats and Walmart, that is going to be a thing of the past!
Wild Oats is a organic food company that is making it easier for everyone to be able to eat organic foods. They are rolling out their brand of foods in Walmart and their prices are so amazing! Check out some of the prices here!
I was sent a few sample to try out myself. I was sent Wild Oats Tortilla chips, black beans, chipolte hot sauce and bay leaves. I asked one of my friends recently if they could name “the” dish of Colorado, what would it be? Being from Louisiana I can quickly think of a few dish contenders but for Colorado, we were stumped….and then we decided it had to be green chili! If I wasn’t on a diet and trying not to eat dairy, I would have added some heavy cream and cheese but since I am, this is the PERFECT one pot meal, low on calories, healthy and delcious! It took me 5 minutes to throw in the crockpot, and we had dinner for the night!
Walmart, the nation’s Largest Grocer Works with Organics Pioneer to Relaunch Brand and Save Customers 25 Percent or More on Organic Groceries. I love to eat organic food and serve them to my family as well and the only deterrent sometimes is the price. I was looking at a bag a organic flour. It was $11 for 15lbs, then I looked over to the 50lb bag or regular flour that is only $9 and it made me sick because I know more people would buy organic if they could afford it!
Originally introduced in 1987, Wild Oats will relaunch at Walmart starting this month with a new, more affordable price point on quality products covering a broad variety of categories – from salsa and pasta sauce to quinoa and chicken broth. Customers will save 25 percent or more when comparing Wild Oats to national brand organic products.
When I lived in Little Rock, AR I shopped at a Wild Oats Market and loved it! They had great food at great prices and I am so excited to see them teaming up with my BFF Walmart!
Check out these products next time you are at Walmart and let me know what you think!
I am a Good Cook Kitchen Expert and was sent these kitchen tools free of charge but all opinions are my own.
I am currently on a diet….blah! So the last thing I get to think about is comfort food. But I spruced up one of my old recipes to make it a lower calorie dinner but still comforting. In my house, nothing says comfort like pasta and if you throw in a little sausage and cheese, that speaks right to my heart! Plus this is a one pot meal. Everything you need for an entire dinner is right in one pot so less clean up!
I used whole wheat pasta, turkey sausage and low sodium chicken broth but if your not dieting like I am, you can go for the pork sausage or white pasta. I just love this recipe because it’s comfort food that meets healthy since there are a lot of vegetable thrown in.
But let’s be honest, probably my favorite thing about this dish is you can cook it up in under 20 minutes and it’s hearty enough to be your entire meal. 1 pot, 1 mess, 1 cleanup.
Plus I was sent some Good Cook kitchen tools to help me with this dish and they did not disappoint! This dish made for the perfect night combining comfort and convince with the help of Good Cook kitchen tools.
I am in love with this Good Cook spoon rest! You can clip it directly on the side or if you need to put a top on your pot, clip it on the side. Genius!!
For this recipe I also use the Good Cook reversible spoon! I use creole seasoning in most dishes I make and this recipe calls for 1 teaspoon. What’s neat about this tool is it’s a space saver because it’s reversible so it’s the job of a multi measuring spoon but only takes the space of 1 spoon. You can measure 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, and 1 tbsp in this one spoon!

My kids and I are constant picnickers even if it’s in our backyard. So this recipe is life changing to me! A lot of you were laughing at me on Facebook the other day because I posted a picture of me and my kids at field day with my gazillion bags, strollers, umbrella, ect. So this is the type of recipe I need. An all one time type situation!
You can use whichever your kids like and tailor them according to your needs. I have 1 kid that won’t eat lettuce so we all knew which one his was. Plus I can sneak in some veggies like tomatoes, and they didn’t notice because they thought it was so fun eating out of this bag!
I had this idea at about 7pm at night and all the kids were asleep so I hopped on over to #Walmarttogo and ordered all the ingredients below! It was delivered the next day to my house, right on time, actually they were early which was awesome! If I have any cat herders reading this you know it’s a tough job and taking 4 kids to the store is just that…cat herding at it’s finest.Being able to order the food I need, when I want and have it delivered at the time that is convenient for me is just another reason why I love Walmart to go so much!

*I am a Good Cook Kitchen Expert and was sent a bake a bowl at no charge but all opinions are my own.
I went sent a Good Cook Bake a Bowl and tasked to me a delicious dish with the pan. I decided on mini crawfish pies and boy does it remind me of home! You can use fresh or frozen crawfish. The only place I could find ANY kind of crawfish in Colorado was walmart. I found just the frozen tails and whole frozen crawfish. If your not a big crawfish fan you can always use shrimp and this dish will still be delicious!
For my readers, you can score 25% off this pan. Just go here to shop!
This pan is so versatile and can be used for sweet or savory dishes. Most of my Good Cook cohorts were using it to make sweet dishes so I opted for savory but check out the linky below for TONS Of recipes and ways to use this pan.
What is so awesome about the pan is it comes with a top and bottom. You spray the bottom pan and the bottom of the top pan because when you bake the crust, you set the top pan over the bottom. This way it ensures your pie crusts don’t puff up to much in the middle so you can stuff as much as the crawfish goodness as possible!
