I am going to let you in a little hack I have come up with when it comes to holiday entertaining. We did this at thanksgiving but it also applies to any big gathering you are having at your house. I still have young kids, who need my help when getting something to drink, so I came up with a snack shelf for kids when we have company over.
I set up a drink and snack station for my kids and any kids that might be coming over. So instead of asking me a million times to get them something to drink, they can go to the drink station to get something to drink. I have enough for the entire party so put more than you think they might drink! In case they are thirsty before dinner, tell them to grab and AquaBall!
Aquaball is a Sugar-Free, preservative free, naturally flavored water your kids will love.
I got this idea when I went over to my friend’s house and she had a whole shelf in her pantry dedicated to the kids snacks. It had drinks and snacks that were mom approved so any kids could come over to her house and grab anything from that shelf.
So now I do the same thing at my house. I like to make sure it is stocked with good snacks and drinks so I don’t have to worry about what the kids are getting into.
When your thinking about what to put in your snack shelf, check out Aquaball!
They they are fun to drink with characters like Minnie Mouse, Princess Ana, and Captain America!

Stop what you’re doing and check out Toymail. The best way I can tell you about it is to tell you a story about how it helped out our family. I recently started working at my kid’s school and so far it has been amazing. The hardest thing so far about being a working mom has been my kids getting sick.
This week all 4 of my kids got sick this week and when monday rolled around I got super anxious. One child was well enough to go to school so my husband said he would work from home so I could take the 1 to school and go to work. While I was so thankful for him volunteering to do that, I am normally the one who stays home and takes care of our sick kids.
It might sound silly, but I started crying on the way to work, thinking about my sick kids at home. I knew my husband could handle the load but after being the kids nurse for 10 years, I was a little sad.
As messages started flooded to my phone, I knew they had figured it out! It was the sweetest thing, for me to hear their voices throughout the day. As I was walking from one classroom to another I could hear how the boys were doing and also tell them I loved them. It’s like a walkie-talkie but cooler since messages are sent straight to your phone and you can listen to them when you want to. If I was in the middle of teaching, I could wait until I was done to listen to the next message.
Then after school, I had a dr.’s appointment. On my way home, my oldest said he really needed some popsicles so I was able to stop at the store to get him some.
Watch this quick video to see exactly how you send a message!
If your kids aren’t into dino’s, like the one we got, they also have a penguin, a bat, a sloth, a shark, a unicorn, and a bunny so they have one for everyone!
This is not just a toy, but something your whole family will use. I can’t wait to use it when my kids go to a friend’s house for a sleepover. They can send me a message if they get homesick, or when I need to pick them up!
Seriously, this product is awesome! Talkies are the only safe and screen-free device for kids to voice chat with friends and family. No need to give your child a phone. This would be a great christmas present but also would be something you and your family would actually use for a long time to come.

Here is a fun recipe you can use to put the stainless steel straws, unbreakable wine glasses and Pop the top bottle opener. I made this for a recent party at our house and it was a hit! There was not a drop left. You can also make them virgin moscow mules if you want!
One thing I really liked about this wine glass was it didn’t stain! I took this picture then left the drink in this glass overnight. When I saw it in the morning, I was sure the glass would be stained red, but it wasn’t at all!
And these stainless steel straws?! I have been drinking my morning smoothies with them every morning and I love them. And I think they clean up super easy.
Here is a video to show you how to works! I saw this video on facebook and I knew I had to have this gadget! It’s totally worth it if you ask me. It’s easy to use and really works!

I am pretty much on cloud nine after being made a Southern Kitchen.com. I am originally from the south and southern food is a passion of mine. I love how food can bring friends and family together. Where I come from, when you are invited over to someone, you don’t ask what time to come over, you ask what to bring. Southern hospitality is alive and well and I want to spread that generosity everywhere!
So next time you are thinking of having some people over, add more. People aren’t worried about how clean your house is, if they have a full belly of good food, not much else matters 😉 So when your thinking of what desert to make for your next party, check out this Caramel brownie pie. It’s so easy but super delicious.
For this post, I got to pick out a pie plate on SouthernKitchen.com and I chose the Staub ceramics 9″ pie dish. It’s pretty amazing. I thought it cooked the pie beautifully.
Mix your brownie mix together according to the box and pour enough to fill half of the pie plate.
Bake according to the package then let cool completely.
Top with the caramel.
Add the whip cream on top, then add some pecans. You can either put a little whip cream on the sides or if you enjoy your whip cream with a little pie like I do, spread it on the entire top of the pie.

The holidays have me in a cooking mood. After thanksgiving last week, I am still dreaming about the food. If your like my family, you always have some leftover stuffing so I came up with the perfect recipe for leftover stuffing called Veggie Stuffing balls with MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™. So if you want to bring an extra special dish to the holiday party you have coming up.
For this recipe, I went shopping at Walmart to in search of some MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™. I wanted another option for my stuffing this year other than a stuffing that included meat. The Griller Crumbles contain 75% less fat than regular ground beef, and have 9 grams of protein so they went perfect in this dish.
I found the Griller Crumbles in the frozen section. In my Walmart there was an entire section devoted to MorningStar Farms® so they were easy to find.
Plus save $3 when you purchase this product! Just click the picture below.
I have to say, this recipe isn’t just for the vegetarians or vegans out there, this recipe is so yummy but incredibly simple, everyone will ask for seconds. Plus they are served on these cute forks, so even the kids will want more! You have to “Taste It To Believe It”!
First you cook the Griller crumbles according to the package. It takes under 10 minutes which is awesome!
Next you want to mix your stuffing with your Griller Crumbles. You can either use 1 box of prepared stuffing (mine took 5 minutes to make) or just use leftover stuffing.
Mix together with 1/2 tsp salt, pepper to taste, 1/2 tsp minced garlic and 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning.
Next make the cranberry sauce!
Put all ingredients into a sauce pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
Scoop the balls together with a cookie dough scooper. Stick a fork in the top and garnish with an optional piece of celery. Pack some crispy onions onto the bottom of the balls. Top with some cranberry sauce.
The great thing about this recipe is you can even freeze the stuffing balls ahead of time, get them out the day you want to use them, let them unfreeze and heat up and top with cranberry sauce.
Check out the video below for a quick how to for the stuffing balls! Enjoy!
