I was sent a free sample from Canadian Down & Feather Company, all opinions are my own.
I love cold weather because I just love to get cozy. I am totally in love with this Canadian Down & Feather Company microfiber down alternative duvet. My husband, who is like a heater, and cannot handle to many blankets, but he loves this duvet as much as I do. If you love the feel of a down comforter but aren’t able to use one because of allergies, you have to check this one out! It’s has all the feels of down-like luxury but has the benefits from technically advanced microscopic synthetic fibers.
What’s even better about this duvet is its synthetic microfiber filling naturally resists bacteria and other allergens. That is exactly what we needed in our house since my husband and sons struggle with allergies. The only downside is I am going to have to fight the rest of my family to get to use it!
The quality of this duvet is fantastic and it’s softness is unmatched in any duvet we have ever tried out. I am just so excited to use it this winter season. What I also love about this is it is also lightweight so not only are we going to be able to use it during the winter, but it’s light enough to use it for all the other seasons as well.
The generous crew from Canadian Down & Feather Company offered to also give one lucky reader a duvet of their own. Just enter the easy giveaway below for a chance to win!

My parents recently traveled to east coast and called me while they were inside Paula Deen’s store. I was instantly jealous and wanted them to buy me one of everything. My mom called and ask if I would like some marshmallow on a stick decorations for my christmas tree. That instantly gave me the idea to make a S’more christmas tree this year and here is the finished product!
Part of this idea also came from when my son was insanely sick last week. I was running on no sleep and when he would wake up in the middle of the I would have a hard time going back to sleep so I would basically dream about this tree, haha!
I could not find the marshmallow decorations on Paula Deen’s website so I assume they are only avable in store but I did find one that looks just like them on amazon: Marshmallow on Red Striped Roping Christmas Tree, Wreath, Mantle Garland, 6 Feet Long.
For the marshmallows on a stick, I found these that are similar here!
For the large marshamallow on top I bought 2 of these dummy cake rounds, hot glue them together, painted them white then put some red glitter on top. I stick a stick in the bottom of the round, and zip tied it to the tree. I used a stick from a tree in our yard so it would blend in with the Christmas tree.
For the “graham crackers”, I used postal paper. It was maybe $3 at walmart. I cut a large strip in half. Then used a tape measure to draw a line down the middle of the paper, then added dots like you would see on a graham cracker. Then just draped it around the tree.
For the chocolates hanging on the tree, I used hershey’s chocolates, both large and small. I have a ton of extra burlap so I cut some burlap in strips and hot glued the burlap to the backs of the Hershey’s and hung them on the tree.
The small bars were kind of hard to find but you can get these on Walmart.com.
I bought my metal galvanized tree collar from Joanna Gaines line from target. You can get it in store or online here.
For the campfire pillow set, I made them myself. I have seen them online but I wanted mine to be jumbo size.
You can order a set, The Smore the Merrier Campfire Set if you don’t want to make your own.
I was provided a watch free of charge for this review, all opinions are my own.
If you’re looking to get the man in your life, something special this holiday season, look no further! JORD woodwatches is having a HUGE sale and their black friday sale is LIVE!
These watches are incredible. They are different that any other watch in the market. I got this one for my husband but as you can see from the pictures below, I am thinking about stealing it for myself.
If you are going to get one of these watches for someone for Christmas or a birthday, they come in the most beautiful packaging. Ours came in a little wooden box sitting on a pillow. I am a complete sucker for good packaging. I know if a company goes to great lengths to present their products, they must really believe in their product. Knowing they take the time to ship your gift in such nice packaging will make me a repeat customer. We have family all over the country, so if I choose to send a JORD watch to them through ordering online, I know it will arrive to beautifully packaged.
These watches make a statement and would be a great gift for anyone on your Christmas list. But hurry because they have a great sale going in now!
JORD is also letting me do a giveaway! To be entered to win a $100 from JORD, go here!

Christmas is coming and I have a fun toy to put on your kids christmas lists! It’s called the Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart™. It’s for ages 2-5 and it’s a whole lot of fun. And as you know with LeapFrog toys, they are not only fun but educational. This Ice cream cart builds memory and sequencing skills by choosing from six
cute animal order cards and following the instructions.
Plus your kids will count to ten along with the ice cream cart by pressing the syrup pump or coin button, and it has playful phrases introduce colors, numbers, flavors and more. When your kids are pushing the cart around, it builds gross motor skills while listening to fun songs and music.
It was so cute to see my 2 youngest sit around this cart and pretend play. I love the design and it was super easy to use for both kids. With computers and screens at our kids fingertips, I really try to focus on my kids pretend play. I am the more creative parents so I like to foster their creative side and this toy hits the mark!
They loved going around to all the family and taking their orders, and making different combinations of ice cream.
