I was sent free samples of this product for my honest review.
I use to drink sugary sodas every single day until I realized I wasn’t 16 anymore and after having 4 kids I can no longer eat or drink whatever I want and still feel good. I cut out all the sugary drinks and have switched to sparkling water and feel great. I used to not even like drinking water but then we moved to the mountains and I don’t really have a choice anymore. I have to stay hydrated and keep my kids drinking as well so I have been looking for yummy sparkling waters that we can all enjoy.
I am in love with the new smartwater sparkling water that is vapor-distilled bottled water with added electrolytes for a cool crisp taste. We have a little drink fridge in our kitchen so our guests don’t have to wonder where are drinks are and I am filling it with smartwater sparkling water this summer.
smartwater sparkling launched in one-liter bottles in los angeles, miami and new york city in Q4 of 2015. since then, it has expanded to additional markets throughout the country and is also now available in 20 ounce single serve bottles and 6-packs.
smartwater sparkling can be found in large store, mass, drug, food service and on-premise outlets (ie. restaurants, hotels), clubs and e-commerce outlets (ie. Amazon Fresh, Fresh Direct) alongside other premium sparkling waters.
When you try it, let me know what you think.
We were provided complimentary adventure park passes.
Since we moved to Colorado 5 years ago, we made a plan to travel around the state and see what all it offers. Our first stop this year was Durango, Colorado. My family and I visited Durango when I was younger but I don’t remember it to well so I was excited to go back! On one of the days we decided to visit the adventure park at Purgatory which is the local ski resort. It’s not to far out-of-town and the scenery is gorgeous.
You can do individual activities or opt for the total adventure ticket which is what I would recommend. If your staying the day, it will be cheaper to buy the total adventure ticket and do all the activities.
We started with the ropes course and the boys loved it! I am glad my 2nd youngest went with my older nephew because he was able to help him along the way. While they were doing the ropes course, my little girl did the Water Runner underneath and she loved it!
Next up was the Bungee Trampoline and mini golf! My daughter is fearless and she hasn’t found a bungee trampoline she doesn’t like.
I would say the alpine slide was a hit! So many of the kids could ride by themselves so they all went up together and all came down with smiles.
We couldn’t skip the zipline and it sure made this mommas heart beat fast because it was so high. They had to climb to the top of a building them they descended over the resort area. It looked like so much fun, I wish I would have done it.
My nephew Owen was the only brave one to do the gyro chair! He wasn’t scared a but though.
And how could I forget about the mechanical bull!?
What good memories we made this day. We will certainly be back!

Normally this post comes together really easy but this week I was having the hardest time trying to figure out what to include. A few months back as I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and one of my friends had shared a story posted from the site “Beats for Beckam” and I decided to read it too. This blog is about the Moreno family who are chronicling life with their first born, sweet baby Beckham. When they went for their 20 week ultrasound not only did they find out they were having a baby boy but they also found out there may be something wrong with his heart. A few weeks later Beckham was diagnaosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), meaning only half of his heart developed.
At 12 days old, this little fighter underwent his first open heart surgery but they were able to take him home a couple days later.
Taken from their Beckham’s Story page:
“On April first we admitted Beckham to Children’s due to worrisome symptoms of unusual fussiness and vomiting. An echo of his heart confirmed that his tricuspid valve had severe regurgitation. Within a few hours our son had a cardiac arrest requiring nearly an hour of CPR and ECMO life support. After eight days on ECMO, Beckham underwent open heart surgery to repair his tricuspid valve. This acute change to the tricuspid valve is something no one (on Beckham’s care team at Children’s in Dallas) has ever seen in a child before. We are so thankful for the brilliant, creative skills of Beckham’s surgeon.
The weeks that followed this surgery were filled with times of fear and great hope. We watched and waited for Beckham to heal, wake up, and breathe on his own. Over time we began to see the severe extent of injury his little brain suffered during CPR. Beckham currently does not have a swallow or gag reflex. He also struggles with most basic things like tracking, grabbing, and crying. Without significant improvement in these areas he will not be a candidate for further cardiac intervention. This gives him roughly four to six months to live.
We were able to bring our sweet boy home at the beginning of June. We are hoping for a miracle. We covet your prayers. Thank you for following our story and loving our sweet Beckham.”
Isn’t this little boy the cutest ever??! I say a little prayer for him every night as well as for Lindsey and Beto and I hope you will too.
This story hit close to my heart because not only do I have 4 little ones but my 2nd youngest was born with a heart defect. In the hospital not one word was uttered about any problems but when we went to our first doctors appointment the doctor was taking extra time on listening to his heart and as we would find out in the coming days, he had 2 holes in his heart. I think the hardest thing a parent could ever hear is that there is a problem with your child. This sweet couple had also gone through a miscarriage before having Beckham, which I had also and it is such a trying experience it will make you scared to get pregnant again.
There is something about their story that I could not shake. I kept thinking about their family and sweet Beckham so I emailed them and asked if I could share their story. So many others asked how they could help so the family put these shirts together and you can buy one to support Beckham. I am buying one today!
Go here to shop! Today is the LAST day to put your order in so don’t wait. I am also going to buy one for one of my followers so check out my facbeook page today.
There are so many ways to get involved!
I have never met this family but I can tell they are amazing parents trying to navigate this world while taking care of their beautiful little boy, I hope you will continue to follow their story and pray for their family.
So seriously, best booties/shoes/socks ever! I am THAT mom who doesn’t put socks on her babies. Why?? Beause they fall off and it’s always a fight to keep them on and with 3 other kids, not even worth it. MY sister told me about these and I bought some. My little Summit has been wearing them for a month straight! They actually stay on!!!
Keep your judgement and eye roll at a minimum but I love me some Bachelor! It’s back on monday nights. Thank you Juan Pablo!
Last week I told you about Jane.com and how I cannot quit ordering from them but Sheinside is right up there with them. Super cheap but super cute clothes and best of all FREE SHIPPING with no minimum order! Shipping takes a little longer but totally worth it. I have order quit a bit of clothes from them after having the baby since I’ve been stuck in a maternity vortex for the last 6 years and am loving all my sweaters!
I took my kids to see Frozen a while back and cannot quit listening to this song! Take a listen, you won’t regret it! In fact, go see the movie, it’s a keeper!
Until next week!
