Ingredients
  • 4 egg whites at room temperature
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • pinch cream of tartar
  • ⅛ tsp almond extract
  • blue food coloring
  • multi color blue sprinkles
  • Snowflake sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 200 degrees. Place egg whites, sugar, and cream of tartar in a double boiler.
  2. Whisk until sugar dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in extract.
  4. In your stand mixer, mix on medium high until egg whites become white but still runny,
  5. Add in food coloring. I used about 8 drops. I wanted it to be light blue but add as much as you need to get the color you want,
  6. IF you don't have a piping bag, use a star tip and place it into the bottom of a ziploc bag and cut a small hole so the tip pokes through. Place the mixture in the bag and pipe onto a silicone baking sheet or spray a baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with multi color blue sprinkles.
  8. Cook for 2 hours. After 2 hours, turn off oven, open door slightly and let sit in oven an additional 1 hour
  9. Lastly place the snowflake on top of the tree with either a tiny bit of water or icing.
